Parineeti Chopra was born on October 22 1988. He parents are Pawan and Reena Chopra. She signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films and made her debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in 2011. The movie although not a huge success, was moderately successful at the box-office.
For her efforts in the film she was awarded the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and for the very same role she also received the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress nomination. Then in 2012 she starred in Ishaqzade, which was the second film as per her deal with YRF. The movie was a huge box-office success and her acting in the film was widely appreciated.
She for her role received a number of pats on the back in the form of award nominations; amongst them was a Filmfare Best Actress nomination. It seems Parineeti is headed in the same direction her cousin and Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra was headed a few years ago. In other words, she seems all set to become the next big superstar of Bollywood.
Parineeti has a number of projects lined up for the future which include: Maneesh Sharma’s next, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, Anurag Kashyap-Karan Johar’s joint production, Hasee Toh Phasee, opposite Siddharth Malhotra, which will be her first venture outside the Yash Raj Films and Shaad Ali’s Kill Dil alongside Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar; she described it as the first “glamorous” role of her career.
Besides acting Chopra also dabbles in charity work and supports a number of causes. Also, she’s more girl next door than glamour doll, with no obvious oomph in evidence, and freely confesses to a battle with the weighing scale.
It’s these qualities she has besides her exceptional histrionic abilities that have endeared her to us.
