Imran Khan, the popular Bollywood actor, is walking in his uncle, Aamir Khan’s footsteps. He is sticking posters from his latest film “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” on many taxis around the country. In an interview, Imran recounts how his way is so much similar to what his uncle did years ago.
The 29 year old nephew of Aamir Khan said that his uncle has used the same method 24 years ago for promoting his latest release at the time, “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.” Apparently, Aamir used to go around Bandra with Imran’s mother requesting rickshaw riders to stick the posters from his movie on their rickshaws saying he was the lead actor in the movie. He also added that he was using the same promotion method now. Imran feels that public transportation is the lifeline of Mumbai be it a rickshaw, taxi or bus. He feels that it’s the best way to reach the masses. “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” also starring Pankaj Kapur, Anushka Sharma & Shabana Azmi and having Vishal Bhardwaj as its director is set for release on 11th January 2013.
