S. Ramanathan, the veteran filmmaker who brought together 3 titans of Indian cinema, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Big B for his movie Giraftaar, is no more. The legendary director left this world on the 9th of January 2013.
There are a lot of people who have also credited him with giving Amitabh Bachchan his first big break in his movie Bombay to Goa. He was lovingly referred to as Sir ji and was extremely soft spoken. He was very close to the Bachchan family. He was also a close friend to the south Indian superstar Rajinikanth.
His last movie Zamaanat which had Big B, Karisma Kapoor and Arshad Warsi was not able to hit the movie theatres.
