Subhash Kapoor, who is releasing Jolly LLB shortly, says that hilarity helps pass on a message to the audience. His movie which deals with the Indian judicial system is similar to his previous film, Phas Gaye Re Obama, in this regard.
He used the example, of the people he met while at Tis Hazari court in New Delhi recently. He said that there were people who were fighting property battles for five to six years just to justify that they were alive and not dead. He found this situation very satirical and comical. That’s why he added some humor to the Indian judicial system and produced the movie. He doesn’t think that comedy dilutes the message. Instead, he feels that it widens the reach.
